Urban Camp Bucharest

Mornings start with a theme-based English lesson followed by an activity or field trip. After lunch we will visit Kiseleff Park and play American style camp games.

 

The price includes lunch, 2 snacks, activities and transportation to special activities (Circus Camp etc.). An advance payment of 200 lei is paid when you sign your child up and the balance is due by May 30th. Places are limited so register as soon as possible.

Example of a day at Urban Camp Bucharest (from 2019)

Theme: Yummy!

Description: Students learned the names of common fruits and vegetables and related adjectives (sweet, sour, hard, soft, etc.)

Schedule:

9:00-9:30 students arrive

9:30- students create chalk drawing with teacher as a warm up, those who wish can take a photo

10:00- snack (fresh fruit)

10:10 introduction to topic, identifying unusual fruits and vegetables, each child is assigned a fruit and then plays a sorting game

10:30 students are divided into groups to decide on a smoothie recipe, walk to local farmer’s market, each child is given 5 lei to purchase ingredient of choice for smoothie

11:00 return to school, students clean and prepare fruit for the blender, then decorate a smoothie cup while waiting to make their smoothie, clean up.

12:30- lunch (grilled chicken, mashed potatoes and cucumber salad)

13:30- American style camp games in the park (Red Rover, Hot Potato, Sharks and Minnows)

14:30- Free play in the park

15:00- return to school and snack

15:30- craft

16:30-17:00 parents pick children up

Fiona was born and raised in Scotland and is a native English speaker. She studied archeology at the University of Edinburgh and received her teaching certification from the University of Cambridge.
